Aiki Te Ryu Karate Kai is much more than one man's ideas involving how to teach a martial art. The ATRKK consists of a council that oversees all the training, curriculum, instructor requirements and Dan level promotions. In according to tradition all of our system's dojo are run by the Okuden council. This page will give an explanation so that future and current students will understand the manner in which we run the Aiki Te Ryu Karate Kai.

Master Franz's role is as Shodai Soke, or head of the system. He also serves as advisor to the Okuden Council, Promotions Committee and technical committee. His primary training role is to instruct the Yudansha, or black belt level students however you will still find him teaching the kyu rank students as much as he can since teaching is his first love about martial arts.

The primary role of the Okuden Council is to oversee the development and refinement of the Aiki Te Ryu Karate Kai system under Franz Kyoshi's guidance. This refinement means that our system is consistently improving every year and becoming better. The members responsible for this refinement include:
