Aiki Te Ryu Karate Kai Kata Training

Kata training is extremely important in the Aiki Te Ryu Karate Kai system. Developing many aspects for the student, Kata is an essential method of learning the various techniques, stances and proper body movement required to master the martial arts. In the beginning Kata is practiced slowly, focusing on learning the individual movements and stances. As the student progresses they begin to realize that they are performing the kata in the correct state of mind called Mushin or "No Mind".

"Kata is the essence of a true karate student. It develops proper execution of power, technique and is essential in developing the indomitable spirit to succeed in life beyond the walls of the dojo" - Franz Kyoshi
